SISTERS OF THE LENS
Celebrating 1850s - 1950s Women Photographers
Sisters of the Lens was founded by Terence Pepper - photographic art historian - and George Mind - Collaborative Doctoral Partnership Student at National Portrait Gallery, London - in January 2018. Since its inception, it has grown to include five more researchers; Grace Lee, Hannah Marynissen, Imogen Lyons, Vivien Hamley and Megan Stevenson, who share the combined goal of celebrating late nineteenth-century and early twentieth-century female photographers.
